The Business Office is staffed with the following employees: Advanced Certified Patient Account Representatives, Certified Patient Account Representatives and Certified Financial Counselors.
Primary responsibilities include patient billing, financial counseling, collections, revenue control, and support for the hospital’s Insurance Department.
Financial Services: We want you to know and understand your financial responsibility for your visit or hospital stay; this includes insurance benefits, your responsibility for any deductibles, co-insurance or co-payment, at the time of service.
The financial policy of Union General Hospital, Inc. is designed to:
- allow anyone in need of critical care and/or emergency healthcare to receive such care regardless of financial status or ability to pay, and at the same time to
- provide financial stability to the hospital,
- fairness to patients and third party payers, and to
- ensure that all patients who are financially able to pay their bills do so in a timely manner
The hospital's source of income for operating expenses is the income received from its patients; therefore we ask for your cooperation in fulfilling your financial obligation.
